Calgary-based artisan Jeff De Boer knew he wanted to make armour when he was inspired by a full suit on display at a local museum. Armed with his knowledge of gold smithing and love of fantasy themes, De Boer set out to create fantastical armour for tiny creatures.
Nearly 36 years later, De Boer has become known the world over for his intricately crafted suits of mouse armour. With a host of clients backing him like the renaissance artisans of old, De Boer is able to make a full-time living off the production of rodent-sized protection.
