On Art: ‘breathe’ at Royal Alberta Museum

Interview

After a turbulent past 16 months, a lot of people feel like they’re finally just starting to be able to breathe again. And if that describes how you’re feeling these days, well, the Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton has got just the exhibition for you.

Launching Wednesday, July 14, the RAM’s breathe uses hand-crafted masks from around the world to explore themes of resilience, healing and humanity amid a global pandemic.

Multi-disciplinary artists Nathalie Bertin and Lisa Shepherd are the co-creators of the breathe exhibition. They spoke with CKUA’s Scott Zielsdorf on Traffic Jams on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
