After a number of pandemic-related production delays, Breakwater Books has just published an excellent and hilarious new novel called Dirty Birds.
Written by Caroline, Alberta’s own, Morgan Murray, Dirty Birds follows the exploits of one hapless romantic named Milton Ontario.
Milton travels from small town Saskatchewan to Montreal to become a celebrated poet like his hero, Leonard Cohen. Instead, he encounters wild roommates, the ire of organized criminals, unwitting celebrity, weird love, and a very different version of Leonard Cohen than anybody might expect.
Our columnist Vish Khanna caught up with Morgan Murray to learn more about his book:
The late, great Leonard Cohen, does have a major role in Dirty Birds – you can learn more about it and its author at morganmurray.ca
