Calgary’s Cowtown Collection features a talented herd of players who take their name to heart. A marching band in cow costumes that mixes theatre and clowning to tell engaging stories, their original production, Once Upon A Castle, is a medieval love story complete with an epic dragon fight.
The ensemble has created a new version of that show to allows for safe distancing. They’re set to perform it this weekend as part of Springboard Performance’s ContainR Fest in Calgary.
Lisa Wilton recently spoke with director and co-founder of Cowtown Collection, Joseph McManus, about how he changed up the show without losing its original spirit:
Cowtown Collection will perform at ContainR Fest, Saturday and Sunday at Art Park in Sunnyside. Find out more information by going to springboardperformance.com
