Leeroy Stagger Garners GoFundMe Support for Flooded Studio

Interview

All across Western Canada, we’ve seen plenty of heavy weather battering our windows the past while. But one well-loved member of CKUA’s on-air community saw that weather practically wash away his whole studio.

On top of his work as a singer-songwriter and host of CKUA’s Dirty Windshields Radio HourLeeroy Stagger is also a greatly-acclaimed record producer, and the owner/operator of a top-flight recording studio. His recently-built Victoria, BC studio was equipped with all manner of musical instruments, modern and vintage recording gear, music memorabilia, original artwork, and plenty of love and soul.

That creative space, and many of the items within, were devastated by this month’s flooding. In response, friends and community members have rallied together in support, creating a GoFundMe page to help Leeroy and his family make it through this hard time, restore the tools of his trade, and get back on their feet!

We heard more about this bittersweet story on Alberta Morning on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
