Music has a unique way of lifting your spirits, reducing stress, and boosting focus and memory—it’s such an important part of our mental health. That’s where Calgary’s own Kaiya Gamble comes in. This talented 17-year-old singer-songwriter is passionate about youth mental health and wellness. She’s been performing in hospitals, offering comfort to patients going through tough and lengthy recoveries. Her live music creates a moment of peace, allowing patients to relax and let the music move them.
Notably recognized as a Golden Ticket recipient on American Idol Season 22, Kaiya weaves together captivating melodies and heartfelt lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners, creating a powerful connection that transcends boundaries. She is an ambassador with A Sound Life, a non-for profit organization in Australia where she zooms into the Sydney Children’s Hospital allowing her to sing one on one to kids on the wards, and most recently she was a part of a mini film for BBC Storyworks documenting the importance of music and mental health.
