Justine Vandergrift worked tirelessly on her new album, Stay for two years. The album was released in March 2020, but Justine’s promotional tour, along so much else, was derailed by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Against all odds, Stay is up for two nominations this weekend at the fifth annual YYC Music Awards, garnering both Country Recording of the Year and Songwriter of the Year nominations.
Justine recently spoke with us about trying to promote an album during a pandemic, and how it feels to have her work recognized:
