Throughout her 15-year career, Canadian Sweetheart Jill Barber has written numerous songs that have landed themselves as the soundtrack to budding romances, car commercials, television shows and a few major motion pictures. Her musical offerings have not only earned her wide-ranging industry success, but also three JUNO Award nominations.
Jill’s most recent single, titled My Mother’s Hand, is set to release on May 3 and celebrates motherhood and the bonds of love between generations. Jill originally wrote the song for her mother’s birthday last year, which she then sent to her mom via a voice note. The Canadian singer/songwriter says she “wanted to express her gratitude to her mother in the best way she knows, through her music.”
Jill recently joined CKUA’s Lisa Wilton on Tuesday’s Traffic Jams to talk mothers and music. She also shared with us her brand-new music video to share with the CKUA community!
