Jennie Vallis is an award-winning multi-disciplinary visual artist, theatre designer and writer. She’s recently added publisher and editor-in-chief to her already impressive resume.
The new quarterly magazine puts a spotlight on BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized voices in Calgary’s arts, music, fashion and activist subculture in Calgary. Big Kitty Magazine is named after a nation-wide, female-identifying arts collective spearheaded by Vallis in 2010.
