The third Indigenous Classical Music Gathering is being held at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity August 11 – 20. This year’s gathering is being led by Cris Derksen and Eliot Britton, and builds on the groundbreaking work of previous years.
This year’s ICMG is sure to be an exciting opportunity for Indigenous composers and performers to come together and discuss current issues in classical music, the history of Indigeneity within the genre, and the road forward in classical music.
