Farren Timoteo and the invigorating energy of The Fringe

#FringeSpot

One of the most energetic artists in Alberta theatre has been forced to power down during the pandemic. Farren Timoteo is known as a dynamo onstage and a tireless creator offstage. He’s done opera, plays, musicals, children’s theatre, and so much more.

“The invigorating energy of my first Fringe really cemented for me that I belonged here.” – Farren Timoteo

For our latest #FringeSpot, correspondent Peter Brown spoke with Farren about these weird, quiet times, and how he’s circling back to lessons he learned at the Fringe.

Be sure to catch Farren singing and talking about his career as part of The Fringe That Never Was. Tune into  Meet The Artist on FringeTV at 6:00pm MT.

From August 10th – 21st, CKUA is celebrating The Edmonton Fringe that Never Was.

If you’ve ever been to a Fringe festival, you’ve probably heard the name T. J. Dawe. His one-man shows sell out across the country and one was turned into a movie. At 5:45pm MT on Thursday Aug 20th, T. J. will tell us what his years on the Fringe circuit have taught him about storytelling and connecting with audiences.
