Grant Stovel caught up with Courtney Barnett backstage at the 2018 Interstellar Rodeo, just ahead of her festival-closing set. In their wide-ranging chat, she lets us in on what inspires her musically: collaborating with The Breeders, how she likes working in the warehouse at the record label she runs, why her favourite fans are in the under-10 demographic, plus how a song from her new album is drawn from one of the first songs she ever wrote.
