Edmonton Public Library supports emerging local authors

Interview

It can be incredibly difficult for an emerging writer to get their works picked up by a publisher. Edmonton Public Library is enabling new and diverse voices from across Edmonton to be heard with their Capital City Press Anthology.

The project aims to publish short stories, non-fiction, and poetry from a variety of emerging local authors. Métis writer Skye Haggerty is one such author, whose poem is one of the works published in the debut volume.

Both Skye Haggerty and Capital City Press project lead Katherine Gibson spoke with CKUA’s Scott Zielsdorf about this collection of works.
