This week starts with Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We meet the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) artist of month, and we’ll learn more about the Monica Miller Memorial Lecture. 

We also hear about a program at the National Music Centre and speak to an author about their debut novel.

CKUA’s Leo Cripps will present a playlist in honour of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, along with insights drawn from recent conversations with William Prince, Shauit, Julian Taylor, and Leonard Sumner.

CKUA’s Lisa Wilton speaks with the ICAI Artist of the Month for October, Kyung Eun “Kay” Heo. A South Korean-born writer and visual artist with experience in storytelling and oil painting, Kay has an abiding interested in exploring themes of coexistence and ethnic diasporas.
