JUNO Award-winning Inuit singer Susan Aglukark will officially launch her new memoir, Kihiani. She joins CKUA’s Leo Cripps to share her stories and tell us what to expect at the book’s launch in Calgary.

Trent Agecoutay is a Calgary-based artist whose latest album, Legacy, was created with his group Uncle Trent and Friends. It’s a collection of songs written or co-written by his late father Jim Agecoutay. To honour his father, Trent and his brother Bryce worked on Jim’s unfinished songs and recorded 10 tracks for the album. CKUA’s Lisa Wilton chats with Trent Agecoutay about his new album and the National Music Centre’s music incubator program, OHSOTO’KINO.

Possibly one of Canada’s most influential visual artists, Jana Sterbak has had significant impact on contemporary art, artists, and global audiences for almost 50 years. Now, Sterbak’s work is being explored in a new retrospective exhibit from Calgary’s Esker Foundation. CKUA’s Tony King will learn about this exhibition.

Rita McKeough is an indomitable force in Canadian contemporary art whose groundbreaking works span sound, multi-layered installation, performance, video and kinetic sculpture. Her contributions will be recognized this fall with the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta 2025 Distinguished Artist Award. Rita McKeough joins CKUA’s Grant Stovel to chat about this honour.
