This week, we learn more about the Montréal Guitare Trio. We meet Hesam Ohadi, an Iranian-Canadian artist and musician based in Calgary. Geraldine Carr and Jen Mesch tell us about The Broad View International Film Festival.  Cam Buie is the new Musical Artist in Residence for Calgary Public Library. And Jeff Stuart from The Hearts tells us about the band’s new album.

ICAI’s artist of the month for November is Hesam Ohadi. This Iranian-Canadian Calgarybased artist and musician joins CKUA’s Lisa Wilton. 

Wednesday, November 6 at 1:40pm MT on Thoroughfare

The Broad View International Film Festival returns to Edmonton’s Metro Cinema for its third year of programming  November 7-9. Artistic Director Geraldine Carr and director Jen Mesch will join CKUA’s Tony King to talk about the festival. 

Thursday, November 7 at 12:40pm MT on The Upload 

Calgary-based keyboardist Cam Buie is the new Musical Artist in Residence for Calgary Public Library. Buie’s work draws primarily from the harmonic language found in jazz, pop, and rock. He joins CKUA’s Kate Stevens.  

Friday, November 8 at 8:40am MT on Alberta Morning

The sweeping, cinematic soul/Americana sound of The Hearts is back, with the November 8 release of their new album, Traces. Lead singer and songwriter Jeff Stuart joins CKUA’s Grant Stovel to talk about the journey.
