David Jay, a.k.a “The Spaniard”, is an Edmonton-based guitar virtuoso, best known for his use of live looping pedals to create complex guitar soundscapes. Jay is being honoured with the 2025 Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award, presented by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation.
