This week playwright Lezlie Wade and composer and music director Daniel Green tell us about the musical, The Tale of the Gifted Prince. Abigayle Oakley and John Hewitt describe Prairie Folk Sessions at Analog Books in Lethbridge.

Playwright Jameela K. McNeil talks with us about Mrs. Pat’s Kitchen. Jully Black joins us to talk music. Gavin Bradley is a poet, playwright, songwriter, and author who tells us about being the recipient of the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award.

The Tale of the Gifted Prince is a new musical presented by Theatre Calgary. Based on Lloyd Alexander’s novel The Remarkable Journey of Prince Jen, it’s a labour of love from playwright Lezlie Wade and composer and music director Daniel Green. Wade and Green join CKUA’s Leo Cripps to talk about the premiere.

He was honoured with the 2025 Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award, presented by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation. CKUA’s Grant Stovel talks to Gavin Bradley about the award.
