This week, author Jane Park tells us about her debut novel, Inheritance. Jessica “Seeka” Tyndale is a children’s artist and educator who is also a recipient of the 2025 Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award.

Calgary-based author Jane Park’s debut novel, Inheritance, tells the story of New York lawyer Anne Kim exploring the immigrant experience of children and their parents. Jane Park joins CKUA’s Leo Cripps for a conversation.

Jessica “Seeka” Tyndale is a children’s artist and educator based in Edmonton. Her work promotes belonging, inclusivity, and social-emotional development, and earned her the 2025 Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award, presented by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation. CKUA’s Tony King talks to Seeka about the award.

The Calgary Civic Symphony presents Beethoven Meets Batman at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Hear Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” along with iconic film scores from Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, The Dark Knight, and Superman.  Conductor Rolf Bertsch joins CKUA’s Kate Stevens in conversation.
