Mark Rodgers has worked as a DJ in Edmonton's bar scene in the early 2000s, completed the radio program at NAIT in 2007, and graduated from the Arts and Cultural Management program at MacEwan University in 2011. Mark's CKUA career began as an intern in 2011, touring Alberta's summer festival circuit. Fast forward to more than a decade later and he’s had a wide variety of roles at CKUA, from volunteer coordination, production, traffic, Arts & Culture contributor, CKUA Presents, CKUA summer radio series in 2021, Session Stories producer, and now the host of Open Nights.
Open Nights is three hours of openness to anything upbeat. In the first hour we’ll rock a little bit after Lionel’s Vinyls, the second hour will be the roll, and the third hour is pure "Open Nights” with upbeat music to take us to Sunday morning.
