Mark Rodgers has been a radio host since 2007, after completing the radio program at NAIT. He's done traffic reports over the city of Edmonton in a helicopter for the Canadian Traffic Network, and he's been an assistant music director in commercial radio. Radio is life for Mark. His CKUA career began when he was an intern in 2011, with a field placement through the Arts and Cultural Management program at MacEwan University. Fast-forward almost 15 years and he’s had a wide variety of roles at CKUA, including volunteer coordination, technical/creative producer, traffic-log fill-in, Session Stories producer, and now the host of Open Nights.
Open Nights is three hours of openness to anything upbeat. In the first hour we’ll rock a little bit after Lionel’s Vinyls, the second hour will be the roll, and the third hour is pure "Open Nights” with upbeat music to take us to Sunday morning.
