An entertainment journalist, broadcaster and photographer, Lisa Wilton has been talking about—and writing about—music her entire career. Her first foray into radio was in the 1990s when she hosted shows on Calgary’s campus station, CJSW. It’s not surprising she was drawn to the medium: her grandfather was a producer of the popular CBC Radio program, The Celtic Heart, during the 1950s. After studying journalism in Calgary, Lisa launched into a career as a theatre critic, music writer, entertainment reporter, TV writer and producer, and more. As a journalist, Lisa has interviewed countless musicians and reviewed many concerts as an entertainment writer for The Calgary Sun. She’s also written for The Calgary Herald, Beatroute, Avenue magazine, WestJet magazine and more. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys checking out local shows and heading out to the mountains to take photos.
