Guest Hosts

CKUA's ongoing experiments in new program ideas continues with two programs designed to allow both established and emerging hosts to test their concepts.

Saturday Night Surprise
Each week a different CKUA staff member hosts the Surprise. It could be an hour of CKUA's archive, an in-depth profile of a musician or record label, or an examination of a particular style of music.

The Other Side of Midnight
This weekly hour of late-night programming will be hosted by interns from Alberta's post-secondary institutions and other volunteers seeking to gain experience as radio presenters. Similar to Saturday Night Surprise, you'll hear a wide range of different program ideas presented by passionate radio hosts.
