We Are the Roots

As part of the Black Excellence Film Series, a collaboration between Woezo Africa Music & Dance Theatre Inc. and The Confluence, we have a special screening of We Are the Roots.

This year-long series is about more than just film screenings. It is a space for meaningful conversations, deeper connections, and a celebration of the richness of Black culture, history, and creativity.

This multi-award-winning film has played an invaluable role in preserving the stories of Black settlers in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and we are truly honored to share it with our audience.
