Valentine’s Day with Denzal Sinclaire

Denzal Sinclaire is one of Canada’s most popular jazz vocalists and is ranked among the finest jazz singers of his generation. He possesses the rare ability to achieve, from the moment he steps on stage, a profound emotional interaction with his audience. His passionate and sincere delivery caresses every song he sings, touching the listener with the purity of the message.  A two-time JUNO Award nominee and recipient of the National Jazz Award for Best Album, Denzal has performed with renowned artists such as Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dee Daniels, the Count Basie Orchestra, Dame Cleo Laine, Russell Malone, Seamus Blake, Nicholas Payton, Brian Blade, and Holly Cole. He has graced the stages of concert halls and festivals around the world and appeared on numerous television programs.

For this special Valentine’s concert, Denzal Sinclaire appears with his quartet, led by Toronto-based producer and guitarist Nick Tateishi, featuring bassist Kodi Hutchinson and drummer Jon May, presenting an intimate evening of jazz, perfect for the occasion.

Tickets are on sale now for his Calgary Valentine’s Day show on Saturday February 14 at Ironwood Stage & Grill. Tickets are $39.99 with a special price of $20 for everyone under 25. Tickets are available through the JazzYYC website.
