Up on Cripple Creek: The Music of The Band, Bob Dylan, and The Byrds

Thursday, October 10th

Just over a decade ago a seven-member edition of Front Porch Roots Revue ran Up On Cripple Creek: The Songbook of “The Band” up the flagpole to an enthusiastic response from festival and theatre audiences. Armed with Band classics The Weight, Stage Fright, Shape I’m In, It Makes No Difference, Ophelia, When I Paint My Masterpiece, and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, this ensemble captures the magic that Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Rick Danko created. Now with the enlistment of former Byrd John York, the ensemble has added tunes from The Byrds and Bob Dylan songbooks, making for an authentic and soulful evening of classic Americana music.

Experience “Up On Cripple Creek: the Music of The Band, Bob Dylan and The Byrds,” featuring Front Porch Roots Revue, with special guest John York of The Byrds. Enjoy an authentic and soulful evening of classic Americana music.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
