Undiscovered Edmonton

Friday, May 9th

Celebrate the launch of Edmonton Repertory Theatre with a night of musical discovery featuring homegrown theatrical talent.

We invite you to join us in the newly renovated Biederman Theatre for performances by local favourites Chris Bullough, Giselle Parker, and Edmonton’s own “bright light of the Great West”, Dana Wylie.

This event is in support of Chris Bullough’s new play, Undiscovered Country, with proceeds supporting artist fees for the show’s upcoming production, ensuring this ground-breaking solo work reaches its full potential.

Undiscovered Country is Chris Bullough’s fascinating and highly original set of songs, characters and fantastic stories running at the Edmonton Fringe. Chris’s delivery is precisely timed, intensely committed and wild. Catch it and be astounded.”

– Gerry Potter, Founder and past Artistic Director of Workshop West Playwright’s Theatre

“(A) fantastical vision and an ecstatic connection with its own dark comedy about it. There’s more of Sam Shepard than Ian Tyson in Undiscovered Country… (This) is what happens when you let an actor/playwright/ songwriter — an artist with a sense of outrage and a sense of humour — loose…”

– Liz Nicholls, 12th Night.ca

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
