Tim Isberg with Mallory Chipman

Saturday, January 10th

If you’re looking for a great night out in Calgary you won’t be disappointed by singer, songwriter, historian, author, soldier, and immensely gifted storyteller Tim Isberg at Saturday Night Special in Braeside when he presents his highly acclaimed Prairie Fire show!
Tim not only entertains, but also educates, offering a melodious journey through our nation’s formative years, breathing life into the captivating tales of events and characters of the 19th century, Canadian prairies, and the western plains. Each song is a window into the lives of those who shaped the Canadian West.

Opening for Tim is Mallory Chipman. Her latest album “Songs to a Wild God”, hit #1 on CKUA; she was Solo Artist of the Year Nominee at the 2025 Canadian Folk Music Awards, was 2025 Roots Artist of the Year Nominee Country Music Alberta Awards and, she was recently nominated for Solo Artist of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Hosted by the Chinook Musical Society ‘Saturday Night Special’. Tickets are going fast! Get yours today at: https://www.showpass.com/tim-isberg-with-mallory-chipman/

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
