Tim Isberg

Saturday, October 4th

Prairie Fire includes imagery and storytelling, taking the audience on a fascinating journey back in time to our 19th century heritage amongst settlers and our Indigenous peoples.

From the arrival of the railway that sparked a boom in immigration and commerce, to the legendary scout Jerry Potts who aided the arrival of the North West Mounted Police and relations with indigenous peoples, to the steamboats on the Saskatchewan River that transported goods and people across the vast territory, to the letters from an early Mountie to his fiancée in Toronto that reveal the hardships and joys of frontier life, each song is a window into the lives of those who shaped the Canadian west.

Through his artful storytelling in Prairie Fire, Tim Isberg not only entertains but also educates, offering audiences a melodious journey through our nation’s formative years. Join Tim and his full band for an unforgettable evening of story, song and western Canadian history.

From Rwanda to Afghanistan, veteran soldier Tim Isberg experienced the best and worst humanity has to offer. A multiple award nominee, Tim is a storyteller who brings an Americana blend of well-crafted contemporary songs to the stage and an endearing array of experiences he shares in a way that makes each listener feel connected.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
