Tim Hus with Lonni Robley

Saturday, September 13th

Join the Lethbridge Folk Club presents the quintessential Alberta Cowboy troubadour as our opening act for the 46th Fall Season.

Tim Hus has a voice sweeter than a Husqvarna chainsaw, a wit sharper than rusty barbed wire, and a list of songs longer than a Saskatchewan fence line! For the past decade, Hus and his Travelin’ Band have toured to every corner of the land and beyond, performing their distinctive brand of Canadiana cowboy music.

The Alberta-based singer with the black hat and easygoing personality is a captivating and crowd-pleasing performer who easily draws listeners into the settings of his storytelling country and roots music. Tim’s distinctive songwriting and spirited performances by the members of his dynamic bandstand are a cornerstone of authentic Canadiana!

Lonni Robley was raised on 80s and 90s country, bluegrass and singer-songwriters like Ian Tyson, Gordon Lightfoot. You’ll likely hear flavours of folk, pop and country. Expect some covers and some originals. An acoustic style of folky pop singer songwriter, with influences of James Taylor, Patty Griffin, a splash of country and celtic thrown in the mix.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
