In one of history’s greatest love stories, Robert and Clara Schumann remained devoted to their art and to one another despite challenges and adversity. Johannes Brahms was their lifelong confidante and most beloved friend. Kerry Duwors is hailed for her “soaring cantelina” (Gramophone Magazine), while Katherine Dowling is praised by the New York Times for “crystalline performances, gestural expressiveness, and careful attention to colour.” The two perform masterworks of these three superb artists – created in the springtime of the Romantic era – in a violin and piano duet designed to refresh the spirit.
