The Oratory Live Talk Show

Saturday, March 1st

Join us for an intentional evening of healing through the transformative embrace of the arts, play, and storytelling.

In an ever-ailing world, we’re on a mission to destigmatize mental health and be a somatic sanctuary where authentic connections flourish, rooted in the timeless wisdom of Ubuntu–’I am because you are.’ The Oratory offers a unique blend of live music, storytelling, and interactive elements. It’s art meets advocacy, education meets entertainment–it’s edutainment! On March 1, we welcome:

– Headline performance by 4-time JUNO winning rapper and singer TOBi
– In-house band K-Riz & The Family
– Performances by VogueYYC
– Special guest TEDx speaker and professor Dr. Gabrielle Weasel Head
– Collaboration with MC Amanti and ZENON+

For every person in attendance, a meal will be donated to people experiencing houselessness through the “Feed the Streets” program in partnership with The Walker Foundation and VOTO.

We’re reimagining what late night talk shows can be in Western Canada and we’re about to change everything. Tell your friends, be our guest, and meet us at The Oratory!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
