The Drowsy Maggies

Friday, March 21st

This month at Calgary’s Rocky Mountain Folk Club: Hailing from across the pond, now Calgary-based ‘The Drowsy Maggies’ are Emilie Kirwan, Nicola McLaughlin and Ciara Lane. Their performances include upbeat traditional Irish tunes as well as acoustic versions of some of Ireland’s most beloved folk classics. This trio of energetic and charming performers brings a deep knowledge of traditional Irish music and a unique ability to blend Irish music with more modern influences to put their own stamp on their tunes and folk songs.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 7:30 with opening performer Derick Perry
Location: Rosedale Community Hall, 901 – 11th Avenue NW, Calgary
Tickets are $25 (+fee) on our website, or $30 at the door

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
