The Brasstactics with Curves & Party Jacket

Saturday, March 1st

The Commercial is excited to bring you a Mardi Gras special featuring The Brasstactics, along with Curves & Party Jacket! Dress to impress in your best Mardi Gras attire and beads, and get ready for the ultimate Creole celebration!

Get ready to groove with BrassTactics, Canada’s most dynamic and energetic mobile brass party band! This explosive ensemble brings together the best of AC/DC’s hard-rock edge, Dr. Dre’s hip-hop swagger, and everything in between. Their unique sound is powered by original songs that blend punk, ska, jazz, and modern pop influences, guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor all night long!

Party Jacket is a 5-piece good time outfit. Born out of a bottle in Dirt City, they are one part sequins, one part satin leopard print, and three parts well-worn denim. Party Jacket features Lindsay Pratt on vocals, Billie Zizi on guitar and vocals, Sam Tom on sax, Lindsay Bueckert on bass, John Aram on drums.

Curves brings high-energy, dance-inducing rock to every stage, blending infectious grooves that will keep you moving. Known for their electrifying live shows and unexpected twists on fan-favorite hits, they turn any party into an all-out celebration.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
