Friday, February 9th

The Alberta Society of Artists is pleased to present the group exhibition “The Artist’s Lens: Body” featuring the work of 18 Alberta artists:

The exhibition runs January 5 – February 24, 2024, at the Alberta Society of Artist’s Gallery, #222, 1235 – 26 Ave. SE, Calgary, Alberta.  Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and parking is free. This exhibition is part of the Exposure Photography Festival 2024 which runs during February in various venues throughout Alberta.

There will be a public opening on Friday, February 9th, 4-7 pm.

Artists are asked to explore the idea of ‘Body’. This could be a body of water, a body of work, the human body, nobody, somebody, etc. This idea is open to interpretation and can be expressed in many different photographic-related mediums.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
