Taylor Abrahamse

Wednesday, March 12th

Like a maple leaf in a gust above the prairies, Taylor Abrahamse blissfully floats between the borders of song, gender & genre with his/her deftly crafted, hook-laden hammerclaw pop. A Paul Simon/Jim Carrey crossbreed and a Kerrville Newfolk Winner – (s)he’ll leave you laughing, inspired, and singing along… if you can reach that high. Out of love for his writing, Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, etc), insisted on working with Taylor to produce & mix his acclaimed debut album. Taylor’s music & writing is also featured in many projects, including animated series where Taylor has often voiced many characters.

Fresh from a US tour with #1-selling Itunes artist Flamy Grant, Taylor is eager to keep performing, writing & releasing new music in 2025 and beyond.

Irene Poole will do a short opening set.

This is a house concert, in a private home, so seating is limited. Tickets are $25 and the hosts are volunteers. eTransfer to reserve your seat! thehivehouseconcerts@gmail.com

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
