Sweet on Fiddlin’

Saturday, May 11th

The Calgary Fiddlers Association presents Sweet On Fiddlin’ 2024. The Calgary Fiddlers are a musically gifted group of young people who love to perform and who appeal to audiences of all ages around the world. This exciting ensemble bursts on to stage to deliver high energy performances of a wide range of music from traditional folk fiddling to country, bluegrass, Celtic and even big band. The Calgary Fiddlers group is comprised of 15-18 ambitious teen musicians who passionately rehearse and perform fiddle music throughout the Calgary region, around Alberta, nationally and internationally.  These teen sensations perform at over 100 events each year. The graduating Fiddlers are showcased in the Sweet on Fiddlin’ concert. These amazing fiddlers have worked their way up the groups starting in the intermediate group from as young as 8 years old.

The concert will be celebrating the seven graduating fiddlers for 2024. Declan Rowles, Charlotte Sentner, Raina Punia, Noah Born, Miko Heidt, Rebecca Hultgren, Charlise Bruchet. They will be showcasing their amazing talents along with the full Calgary Fiddlers group.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
