Success 5000

Wednesday, February 25th

Odd Wednesday is a monthly alt comedy showcase, featuring the funniest performers in Edmonton doing their weirdest and wildest material. Since 2016, the show has been a space for comedians to step out of their comfort zones and push their creative boundaries. Sketch comedy, character pieces, musical comedy, performance art… if it’s too bold and bizarre for any other show, you’ll find it here. Produced and hosted by local sketch comedy darlings the Debutantes, you never know what you’ll see on Odd Wednesday.

Our February edition will be headlined by everyone’s favourite misanthropic musical comedy duo, Success 5000! They’re about to head east to perform in Toronto Sketchfest, but before they leave, they’re debuting all their new material right here at Odd Wednesday. You may know Success 5000 from their performances at comedy festivals across the continent, their plethora of albums and music videos, their appearances on CBC’s The Irrelevant Show and CTV’s Breakfast Television, or their critically acclaimed Fringe show Double-Booked. PLUS you’ll also get hilarious new material from Paul Blinov, Anna Pratch, and David Rae. Toe-tapping tunes and a bunch of buffoons? Now that’s odd!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
