Stephen Fearing

Saturday, February 21st

Northern Lights Folk Club presents Stephen Fearing

Stephen Fearing is revered for his vivid, lyrical songwriting, masterful guitar work, and a voice described as melodic and cobalt. He has released critically acclaimed albums, earned two JUNO Awards, and collaborated with legends of modern roots musicians. As co-founder of the Canadian roots-rock giants Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Fearing has built a legacy of genre-busting music that captures the human condition in all its messy splendour. His latest project, The Empathist (2025) embodies Fearing’s passion for crafting authentic, exhilarating, and entertaining songs. Throughout his journey, Fearing has remained true to his roots, constantly pushing the boundaries of his artistry while staying grounded in the storytelling traditions that have defined his music. As he continues to evolve as an artist and storyteller, Stephen Fearing reaffirms his status as one of Canada’s most acclaimed guitarists and musical visionaries, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of contemporary folk music.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
