Spiritus Chamber Choir, Calgary’s award-winning chamber choir, is committed to providing high-quality concerts to choral music lovers in Calgary and surroundings. Our members are accomplished performers who delight in sharing their love for music and the art of singing. The choir sings in a wide array of musical styles, from Renaissance motets to full-fledged choral-orchestral masterworks.

Evoking the power of the human spirit, of resilience, and the natural world, Spirit features works by up-and-coming composers, including Canadian Katerina Gimon. Sacred Latin texts and hymns converge with works of contemporary poets, including Waad Tariq, a 26-year-old Saudi woman who writes about human experience, dreams, mythology, the natural world, and everything in-between. Spiritus will be joined by young choral singers from our Spirit Program in this community-focused musical collaboration
