Sparrow Blue with Jade Elephant and Darlin’

Saturday, April 25th

Sparrow Blue is a hard-hitting rock band delivering what they call “Real Thick Rock & Roll,” inspired by the classic roots of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, and Mountain. Their gritty riffs and high-energy bring a raw, old-school rock ’n’ roll spirit to every stage. The band has shared the stage with artists including Finger Eleven, The Sheepdogs, The Trews, and Default, while appearing at festivals across Canada and the U.S.

Jade Elephant is a powerhouse rock & roll trio hailing from Calgary, renowned for their tightly woven, gritty, and undeniably groovy sound. They deliver electrifying performances that transport audiences to an era when rock reigned supreme, and have ignited stages alongside icons like ZZ Top, Big Wreck, The Cult, and April Wine.

Darlin’ delivers a hypnotic blend of indie and alternative rock driven by shimmering guitars, warm grooves, and an unmistakably nostalgic vibe. With atmospheric melodies and effortlessly cool stage chemistry, the Edmonton trio creates a sound that feels both vintage and modern

Show starts at 9:30 p.m. and goes till 1:30 a.m.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
