Songs For My Father To Fall Asleep To

Thursday, May 1st - Saturday, May 3rd

Join Calgary’s first Poet Laureate, Kris Demeanor, for an intimate evening of music celebrating his heartfelt album Songs for My Father to Fall Asleep To. Inspired by a request from his father for “gentle songs,” this collection is a love letter to family, memory, and connection.

Back by popular demand, this encore performance, Co-Presented by Ghost River Theatre, features stories, visuals, and live music from Kris, alongside multi-instrumentalist guest star Ella Jean Haggis, as well as 2-3 surprise local musicians, featured on the album, each night! Kris will also treat audiences to a second set of high-energy favourites from his celebrated career.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the warmth and artistry of one of Calgary’s most beloved performers!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
