Solstice Night Story Walk
Winter solstice is a time of celebration for many people and cultures. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about all of the wonderful winter traditions going on at this time of year then bundle up and bring the whole family to Police Point Park for our Solstice Night Story Walk!
Join us on the longest night of the year for a lantern-lit storywalk through Police Point Park as we explore many different winter festivities and traditions celebrated by people around the world.
The guided walk will leave from the firepit area behind the Nature Centre at 7pm on December 21st and conclude back at the campfire to warm up. The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
A seasonal mulled cranberry beverage will be prepared over the fire and available for $2.00 per cup. Please ensure you dress for cold weather and bring proper walking footwear.
Please call the Interpretive Program at (403)529-6225 to register.
