Scream

Friday, August 29th

Get ready for thrills, chills, and a killer good time! This Summerween, The GRAND invites you to a throwback screening of the 1996 horror classic Scream—a film that redefined the slasher genre with sharp wit and terrifying suspense. Set in the quiet town of Woodsboro, California, the story follows Sidney Prescott and her friends as they’re stalked by the masked killer Ghostface. Grab your friends, sip on a themed cocktail, and settle in for a nostalgic night of scares and surprises. Don’t answer the phone—but definitely answer this invite.

Zilford’s Fried Chicken will be serving up fresh, juicy and crispy fried chicken from their food truck right outside from 5:30pm! Think pickles, slaw, pillowy buns and that sweet sweet fried-food magic.

Rating: 18+
Bar & Snacks from 5:30pm—arrive early to grab some delicious food and enjoy a themed cocktail or mocktail!
Screening from 7:30pm

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
