In the midst of a consistently sold out series with ‘Jazz at the Attic’, multiple Juno winner & producer/promoter ScottMorin has teamed up with The Attic on Music Mile again – this time to launch a very special bi-weekly series dedicated to the best in soulful music!

For the official launch of this new Soul Music series, there is no other band to present than Calgary’s brilliant ensemble, Sargeant X Comrade.

Hot off the heels of their new release and chart topping on CKUA album ‘Power’, Sargeant X Comrade are in the middle of an incredible year of musical growth, touring and bringing their original sound penned as lo-fi soul to Canadian audiences from Victoria to Montreal and everywhere in between.

Lo-Fi Soul is a genre that Yolanda Sargeant and her producer Comrade (Evgeniy) pioneered after having difficulty creating an appropriate label that fits their eclectic style. Their music infuses jazz, soul, hip-hop, kung-fu influences, dancehall, funk and other genres and has seen them receive multiple awards including Polaris long list recognition, numerous Western Canadian Music Awards and YYCMAs over the years.

As they prepare for their debut in the coveted M For Montreal Music Festival this Fall, come hear this groundbreaking ensemble before they are playing the Saddledome!
