Sara Neufeld with Ray of Sun Drum Circles

Thursday, June 19th

FREE

Sara Neufeld is the owner/operator of Ray of Sun Drum Circles in Medicine Hat. She started facilitating circles in 2009. In 2015, she attended her first Circles of Rhythm Facilitator Training, and it became her vision to share the JOY of drumming with as many people as possible.

During this workshop participants will learn basic skills, how to play hand drums by playing rhythm games like around the world and rumble conductor as well as practice skills through call and response, learn specific rhythms, and try a hand at improvisation jams. Everyone is welcome to come and play the drum. It is sure to be a lot of fun!

Drums are provided. If you have your own drum, you are welcome to bring that along.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
