Sammy Brue and Branson Anderson

Sunday, October 20th
Look forward to having Sammy Brue and Branson Anderson bring their talents our way to Calgary House Concerts. These artists are turning some heads as they weave a path through the Midwest USA on their way up to Saskatchewan & Calgary for us
Food Bank Donation and Pay What Can or Full Cover $25 Tickets available online
Branson has been busy touring this summer and now has setup a USA-Western Canada tour with another singer/songwriter Sammy Brue that brings their path into Western USA & Canada
He has toured the U.S. and parts of Europe, opening for Mattiel, Corb Lund, Watchhouse, Charlie Parr, Brothers Comatose with several of his songs and videos available on his website.
Anderson gave up his trades as a truck driver and mechanic to pursue music full-time. With a creative approach to writing that eschews traditional song structure, Anderson’s influences include Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Jack White, and Robert Johnson. Fueled by a humble reverence for Americana, as a performer Anderson channels the spirit of yesteryear imbued with a fresh, unique take on roots music.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
