Red Talks

Saturday, March 8th

Join Sendero Centre on March 8, International Women’s Day, and participate in RED Talks.

RED Talks is a local symposium featuring keynote speakers and local organizations and collaborators. This event is in celebration of International Women’s Day. The IWD 2025 campaign theme is ‘Accelerate Action’. Collectively, we can Accelerate Action for gender equality. Step forward in solidarity for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 on March 8 to help #AccelerateAction.

The event will feature:
– Key Note Speakers:
Alana Peters, Gracie George, Deena Kordt, Melody Klinck, Dieulita Datus-Hall, Shannon Humphrey, Chelsea O’Donoghue and Dr. Kelly Simo
– Local organizations and collaborators
– Soroptimist International of Central Alberta Awards

As individuals, we can all take steps in our daily lives to positively impact women’s advancement.
We can call out stereotypes, challenge discrimination, question bias, celebrate women’s success, and so much more. Additionally, sharing our knowledge and encouragement with others is key. Impactful organizations and groups across the world deliver an array of effective strategies, resources, and activity that help #AccelerateAction in many areas.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
