Power Play

Thursday, June 25th - Saturday, July 4th

Full Circle Theatre proudly presents Power Play by Erin Weir

A Full Circle Theatre Original Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew
There are many ways to fix a PR crisis.
Fake dating the problem was not supposed to be one of them.
When the Padua Pythons acquire scandal-prone defenseman Pete Ruff on a one-season contract, Head of Communications Kate Baptista has one job: keep him clean, keep him quiet, and keep the team from becoming a punchline.
But after one single moment turns Kate and Pete into the league’s newest obsession, they’re forced into a fake relationship that starts looking more real by the day.
Inspired by The Taming of the Shrew, this brand-new Full Circle original trades Shakespeare’s Padua for professional hockey, where media spin, sisterly tension, enemies-to-lovers sparks, and hockey nonsense collide.
Expect fast banter, big feelings, fake dating chaos, and Full Circle’s signature blend of irreverent comedy and sneaky emotional damage.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
