Pigeon Breeders with Kate Stashko | Alicia Proudfoot
Now Hear This 2026 showcases an extraordinary roster of artists presenting innovative and visionary work across a wide spectrum of practices. From cutting-edge classical and experimental electronics to traditional Chinese instruments, video game music, sound art, dance, and free improvisation, the festival offers an experience unlike any other in the region—all packed into four unforgettable concerts.
The festival opens with a dynamic collaboration between Edmonton electronic/improvisation pioneers Pigeon Breeders and acclaimed dance artist Kate Stashko in Re-Zoning. The evening begins with harpist and sound artist Alicia Proudfoot, whose deeply personal work Perennial features amplified harp alongside a striking installation of towering, sound-generating floral sculptures.
