Pepperland

Founded in 2011, Pepperland is an Edmonton quartet specializing in the music of the Beatles – featuring CKUA’s Oskar Zybart as frontman. Not impersonators, not a ‘tribute band’ in the traditional or theatrical sense. Instead, Pepperland plays the Beatles as a celebration of music and spirit, giving audiences throughout Alberta a taste of what might have been had the Beatles rekindled their love of live performance in the 1970s and beyond.

In 2024, Pepperland launched the first in its series of ‘60 Years Since’ anniversary concerts, celebrating the impact of 1964 and the occasion of the Beatles’ iconic first performances on the ‘Ed Sullivan Show’. These TV appearances are the ones which changed the world and launched ‘Beatlemania’ internationally. Pepperland has commemorated the anniversary by playing a special ‘Sullivan’ set featuring every song the Beatles played across all four of their Ed Sullivan performances. The ‘Sullivan’ set has proven very popular with audiences of all ages and backgrounds… but its time has nearly ended. Now that 2025 is here, Pepperland is actively developing the next show in this anniversary concert series, and the ‘Sullivan’ set will soon be retired.

Pepperland invites audiences to enjoy two hours of fab favourites and career-spanning classics from the Beatles catalogue, along with what is likely to be the last performance of the ‘60 Years Since Sullivan’ set in Edmonton – live at The Blue Chair. An intimate evening of food, drink, and entertainment awaits, and all ages are welcome!
